Accountant - fixed assets (Phoenix, AZ)

Summit Glen Banking Services is a community-focused bank in Phoenix serving households and small businesses, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 39 people based in Phoenix. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to branch operations, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around fraud alerts against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Phoenix. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
