Accountant - fixed assets (Phoenix, AZ)

Rivermark Cross Banking Services Partners is a regional lender in Phoenix with branches and a growing mobile service, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 591 people based in Phoenix. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around branch operations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Phoenix. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
