Accountant - fixed assets (Philadelphia, PA)

Foxglove Hollow Telecom provides broadband and phone service around Philadelphia, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. We invest in training. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer tickets, and clear open items. • Track costs around network equipment against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with customer tickets. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Philadelphia, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
