Accountant - fixed assets (Philadelphia, PA)

Amberfield Sable Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Philadelphia. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to policy renewals, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around customer complaints against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with policy renewals. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Philadelphia. • We reply to every applicant.
