Accountant - fixed assets (Orlando, FL)

Highbridge Junction Manufacturing is a Orlando manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around production lines against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with scrap and rework. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Orlando. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
