Accountant - fixed assets (Orlando, FL)

Foxglove Rook Community Partners is a Orlando charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around benefits enrolment against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with client intake. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Orlando. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
