Accountant - fixed assets (Omaha, NE)

Summit Willow Construction delivers building projects for owners across the Omaha region, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around permits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with materials orders. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Omaha, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
