Accountant - fixed assets (Omaha, NE)

Stonegate Bridge Telecom is a telecommunications provider in Omaha focused on reliable home and business connections, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around service installations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with billing accounts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Omaha. • We reply to every applicant.
