Accountant - fixed assets (Omaha, NE)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Cross Hospitality Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. We work weekends and holidays and we make it fun. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to supplier orders, and clear open items. • Track costs around food costs against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with supplier orders. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Omaha, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
