Accountant - fixed assets (Omaha, NE)

Bright Cobalt Financial serves customers across Omaha with accounts, loans and payments, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. Teams collaborate across risk, service and technology. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to regulatory reports, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with regulatory reports. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Omaha. • We reply to every applicant.
