Accountant - fixed assets (Omaha, NE)

Westbrook Meadow Markets is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for online orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 127 people based in Omaha. What you will do • Track costs around shrink and waste against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with online orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Omaha, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
