Accountant - fixed assets (Omaha, NE)

Redstone Harbor Arts Center runs a venue and education programmes in Omaha. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. Everyone pitches in on show days. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to event logistics, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with event logistics. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Omaha. • We reply to every applicant.
