Accountant - fixed assets (Omaha, NE)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Juniper Foods and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. We like people who take pride in what they make. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production batches, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around cold storage against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with production batches. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Omaha. • We reply to every applicant.
