Accountant - fixed assets (Omaha, NE)

We are growing our team at Silverline Quarry Telecom and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 28 people based in Omaha. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to outage reports, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around customer tickets against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Omaha, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
