Accountant - fixed assets (Oklahoma City, OK)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Wilder Early Learning and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Oklahoma City. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to enrolment, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around licensing records against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with enrolment. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Oklahoma City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
