Accountant - fixed assets (Nashville, TN)

Stonegate North Construction is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for materials orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 161 people based in Nashville. What you will do • Track costs around project schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to materials orders, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with materials orders. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Nashville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
