Accountant - fixed assets (Nashville, TN)

Cedar Umber Banking Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for branch operations, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 31 people based in Nashville. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around account openings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with branch operations.
