Accountant - fixed assets (Nashville, TN)

Northwind Thistle Property Management Group looks after rental homes across the Nashville area, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. We are flexible about schedules. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to vendor invoices, and clear open items. • Track costs around rent collection against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with vendor invoices. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Nashville. • We reply to every applicant.
