Accountant - fixed assets (Nashville, TN)

Harborlight Lantern Early Learning is an early-learning provider in Nashville. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 207 people based in Nashville. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around enrolment against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to licensing records, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
