Accountant - fixed assets (Nashville, TN)

Ironwood Basin Telecom is a telecommunications provider in Nashville focused on reliable home and business connections. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 766 people based in Nashville. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around billing accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with service installations. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Nashville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
