Accountant - fixed assets (Nashville, TN)

Ironwood Amber Property Management is a Nashville property manager with leasing, maintenance and resident services. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 46 people based in Nashville. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around maintenance requests against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to rent collection, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with rent collection. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
