Accountant - fixed assets (Nashville, TN)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Amber Auto Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. Customers come back because we explain what they need and what they do not. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer estimates, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around vehicle inspections against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Nashville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
