Accountant - fixed assets (Nashville, TN)

Lumen Stone Transit Planning Partners is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for survey data, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Track costs around route schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to survey data, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with survey data. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
