Accountant - fixed assets (Minneapolis, MN)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Meridian Banking Services and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 914 people based in Minneapolis. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around fraud alerts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to deposit accounts, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with deposit accounts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Minneapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
