Accountant - fixed assets (Minneapolis, MN)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Maple Property Management and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. Residents are neighbours, not numbers. What you will do • Track costs around vendor invoices against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to resident events, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with resident events. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Minneapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
