Accountant - fixed assets (Minneapolis, MN)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Summit Manufacturing and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 556 people based in Minneapolis. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to machine downtime, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with machine downtime. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Minneapolis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
