Accountant - fixed assets (Minneapolis, MN)

Highbridge River Press Partners produces print and digital publications in Minneapolis. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. Deadlines are tight and craftsmanship matters. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to proofing, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with proofing. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Minneapolis. • We reply to every applicant.
