Accountant - fixed assets (Minneapolis, MN)

Lumen Keystone Energy Partners is an energy provider in Minneapolis focused on reliable service and fair billing. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Minneapolis. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around outage response against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with service connections. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Minneapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
