Accountant - fixed assets (Minneapolis, MN)

We are growing our team at Northwind Bright Medical and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 921 people based in Minneapolis. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around regulatory submissions against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with device records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Minneapolis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
