Accountant - fixed assets (Milwaukee, WI)

Bright Meadow Press is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for customer orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We like people who notice details. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer orders, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around press runs against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with customer orders. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Milwaukee. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
