Accountant - fixed assets (Milwaukee, WI)

Westbrook Corner Community Partners is a nonprofit in Milwaukee supporting families with food, housing and job help, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. We are small enough to know everyone's name. What you will do • Track costs around volunteer shifts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to food distribution, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with food distribution.
