Accountant - fixed assets (Milwaukee, WI)

Nova Thistle Auto Group is a Milwaukee company supplying vehicle parts and service. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. Service hours are steady. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to supplier deliveries, and clear open items. • Track costs around vehicle inspections against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with supplier deliveries.
