Accountant - fixed assets (Milwaukee, WI)

Greenridge Field Construction is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for safety records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 35 people based in Milwaukee. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to safety records, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with safety records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Milwaukee. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
