Accountant - fixed assets (Milwaukee, WI)

Nova Orchard Banking Services is a regional lender in Milwaukee with branches and a growing mobile service, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around loan files against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to card disputes, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with card disputes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Milwaukee, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
