Accountant - fixed assets (Miami, FL)

Stonegate Cobalt Medical Group designs and makes medical devices in Miami. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Miami. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around production lots against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to device records, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
