Accountant - fixed assets (Miami, FL)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Sparrow Energy Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. Safety comes first on every shift. What you will do • Track costs around service connections against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to outage response, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with outage response. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Miami. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
