Accountant - fixed assets (Miami, FL)

Harborlight Yarrow Inspection Services is an inspection company in Miami with field technicians and lab staff, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 100 people based in Miami. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to client sites, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Miami. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
