Accountant - fixed assets (Memphis, TN)

Bright Nest Staffing is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for candidate screening, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 96 people based in Memphis. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to candidate screening, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around timekeeping against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with candidate screening. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Memphis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
