Accountant - fixed assets (Madison, WI)

Highbridge Union Hospitality is a hospitality company in Madison with restaurants, rooms and catering, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 17 people based in Madison. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to housekeeping schedules, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with housekeeping schedules. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Madison, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
