Accountant - fixed assets (Louisville, KY)

Ironwood Stone Telecom is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for customer tickets, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 18 people based in Louisville. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer tickets, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with customer tickets. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Louisville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
