Accountant - fixed assets (Louisville, KY)

Bluepeak Cedar Inspection Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for equipment calibration, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Technicians travel and report carefully. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around client sites against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with equipment calibration. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Louisville. • We reply to every applicant.
