Accountant - fixed assets (Louisville, KY)

Clearpath Summit Auto Group serves drivers and dealerships across the Louisville region, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 65 people based in Louisville. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around supplier deliveries against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to vehicle inspections, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with vehicle inspections. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Louisville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
