Accountant - fixed assets (Louisville, KY)

Rivermark Thistle Staffing Group is a Louisville staffing firm for warehouse, office and healthcare roles, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. Recruiters here keep in touch with people long after placement. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around candidate screening against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with retention. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Louisville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
