Accountant - fixed assets (Louisville, KY)

Lumen Lantern Auto Group is a Louisville company supplying vehicle parts and service. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around supplier deliveries against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to warranty claims, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with warranty claims. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Louisville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
