Accountant - fixed assets (Little Rock, AR)

Redstone Bright Community Partners is a nonprofit in Little Rock supporting families with food, housing and job help, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 120 people based in Little Rock. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to food distribution, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around benefits enrolment against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with food distribution. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Little Rock. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
