Accountant - fixed assets (Little Rock, AR)

Redstone Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Little Rock. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. Independence and accuracy are our product. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to equipment calibration, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with equipment calibration. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Little Rock. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
