Accountant - fixed assets (Little Rock, AR)

Highbridge Lakeside Farms Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for cold storage, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 200 people based in Little Rock. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to cold storage, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around harvest schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with cold storage. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Little Rock. • We reply to every applicant.
