Accountant - fixed assets (Little Rock, AR)

Bright Clear Farms Group grows and distributes produce from farms near Little Rock, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 54 people based in Little Rock. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to grower contracts, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around field records against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with grower contracts. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Little Rock. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
