Accountant - fixed assets (Las Vegas, NV)

Clearpath Birch Farms Group grows and distributes produce from farms near Las Vegas, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around harvest schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to packing house output, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with packing house output. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Las Vegas. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
