Accountant - fixed assets (Las Vegas, NV)

Rivermark Thistle Staffing connects candidates and employers across the Las Vegas region. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 858 people based in Las Vegas. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around candidate screening against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to retention, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Las Vegas, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
